On Tuesday, Hillard Heintze Senior Vice President Matt Doherty, who leads our rapidly growing Threat + Violence Risk Management practice, accepted an invitation extended by news anchors Marty Griffin and Wendy Bell for KDKA 1020 – a popular news radio show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – to discuss workplace violence and its prevention. In response to questions posed by hosts, Matt spoke about how to identify warning signs; the importance of creating a workplace violence prevention program; and the Virginia Beach shooting that recently took the lives of 11 city workers.

Matt, a former Secret Service Special in Charge of the National Threat Assessment Center, also recently spoke to the Washington Post about his experiences in the field and how Hillard Heintze is developing programs and training to help companies identify potential threats before they escalate into violence.
