Mark Jablonowski

Director, Communications

As Director of Communications, Mark Jablonowski leverages his background in editing, publishing and client relations to support the development of Hillard Heintze’s external communications for clients in industries ranging from manufacturing, finance, healthcare to consumer goods and sports entertainment.

He specializes in distilling large volumes of complex information into an engaging and accessible form. In this role, he conducts preliminary subject-matter research, manages client materials, coordinates reviews by Hillard Heintze experts and drafts original content. In order to ensure that each engagement provides value and is delivered as promised, Mark collaborates closely with client representatives and works to establish and maintain the necessary tone, voice and scope required for each unique project.

In support of the Communications team’s day-to-day operations, Mark provides editorial expertise across Hillard Heintze’s Investigations, Security Risk Management and Law Enforcement Consulting services. In this function, he copyedits, fact checks and formats client reports, ensuring compliance with the firm’s editorial best practices. Throughout the process, he ensures that every deliverable is clear in scope, crisp in style and consistent in messaging.

Mark also contributes to original Hillard Heintze thought leadership pieces, including feature articles and guest blog posts, that reflect the firm’s mission, values and core areas of service and expertise.

Before joining the Hillard Heintze team, Mark served as managing editor for a consultancy that develops proprietary competitive intelligence reports for Global 500 companies and some of the world’s largest philanthropic organizations. Overseeing a team of more than 30 editors, he helped ensure that all reports were in line with clients’ needs, consistent in style and voice and delivered on time.

Mark has also produced original, in-depth analyses and commentaries on professional baseball and related topics. His pieces, which focus on scouting and organizational management and incorporate advanced metrics, have been featured on numerous social media and sports radio outlets.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts in organizational communication from DePaul University.
