At Hillard Heintze, we serve companies – and their mission. While this statement is eminently true, it oversimplifies the close relationships of counsel and support that we develop and nurture with a very broad array of senior executive leaders responsible for achieving different functional objectives within their organizations.
Common to all of these relationships – with different executives, for example, in a single firm – is alignment behind a shared commitment and loyalty to the mission, objectives and strategy of the enterprise.
In our support to each of these decision-makers, however, other factors are different – such as the particular service in demand (i.e., risk management counsel by the board, litigation support by the general counsel), the degree of urgency (i.e., providing support to the Incident Commander in the immediate aftermath of a school shooting or submitting quarterly security-related recommendations to the CFO of a major U.S. sports franchise) or the strategic impact on the business (delivering to the head of HR of a Global 500 leader in the utility industry a 100-page report on each of 6 candidates to lead the company’s security function or discussing with a CIO access control requirements for the company’s new office in Rio de Janeiro).
Where we often provide value – to our individual executive points of contact as well as their firm – is not just that we take the time to listen and learn about their particular needs but that we also understand how, where, why and when leading decision-makers in every other function in the organization need to be involved, informed or invested in a particular security- or investigation-related initiative in order to advance its effectiveness and efficiency – and ultimately, its success. Key executive stakeholders we support include the following:
