Executive Protection
At Hillard Heintze, planning, designing and implementing a highly customized protective security strategy – for a CEO and his family, for celebrities or for high net-worth individuals and families – involves balancing the goals, preferences and lifestyle priorities of the individuals afforded protection with the best practices, research findings and protection methodologies constantly being refined and improved at the highest levels of the U.S. agencies charged with protecting the U.S. president and other world leaders.
The structure of a protective strategy for individuals should be balanced across all anticipatable risks, threats and vulnerabilities. Ultimately, the scope and parameters of protection will be structured around personal preferences, lifestyle and environment – a principle the U.S. Secret Service has had to revisit every time a new U.S. president and his family have set up residence in the White House. At Hillard Heintze, we embrace this principle wholeheartedly. We believe protection should be designed to fit a dynamic public lifestyle, not impede it. To establish, enhance or provide independent assessment of an executive protection program, we:
- Identify and assess the risks for targeted threats and opportunistic vulnerabilities.
- Analyze the best and most appropriate risk control measures.
- Ensure that properly trained, prepared and credentialed personnel are engaged in applying a series of highly interrelated countermeasures and protective tactics.
- Identify the countermeasures necessary to effectively (1) mitigate and control the identified hazards, and (2) implement the appropriate risk controls and countermeasures designed to secure exposures.
- Deliver a formal independent security study and assessment that is tailored to fulfill the Internal Revenue Service statutory requirements as they relate to validating employer-provided transportation for security concerns, business-oriented security concerns and overall security programs as set forth in Title 26, Code of Federal Regulations, Treasury Regulation Section 1.132-5 [CITE: 26CFR1.132-5].
